This project was developed under the guidance of Hannah Kang from Dreamworks during her masterclass at CGMA. The concept is from the amazing Aleksey Baydakov. Lighting and presentation for this project was developed under the guidance of my mentor, Peter Zoppi.
The character was first built with primitives, in a rest position. This allowed me to focus on the primary shapes, silhouette, rhythms, and gesture of the overall shape language. From there we moved into simple polypaint and finishing the character in pose.
