Creeper

— ROLE

Art Direction, Concept Art, Creature Design, Modelling, Sculpting, Texturing, Lighting, Look Development

— SOFTWARE

zBrush, Maya, Marmoset, Mari

This project was developed under the guidance of my mentor, Peter Zoppi. The concept began during my time studying creature design fundamentals with Bobby Rebholz.

Throughout my time studying Creature Design with Bobby, we began with thumbnails which were further developed to full model sheets. This project was inspired by some of my earlier silhouettes and sketches. I took existing base meshes and distorted the silhouettes inside zBrush, with the intention on focusing on shape, proportion and rhythms.

Texturing technique inside Mari was taught to me by my friend Gael Kerchenbaum in his Creature Texturing Workshop.
